OTT Navigator: setup and compatibility guide

Set up OTT Navigator on Android or Android TV, distinguish supported provider formats and troubleshoot guide and playback issues methodically.

Check the platform first

OTT Navigator's official FAQ describes an Android application, including Android TV and Google TV. It does not provide a native Windows or Mac edition. Running through an emulator is a separate arrangement with potential decoding and DRM limitations, so it is not the default setup recommended here.

Samsung Tizen and LG webOS are not Android TV. A television brand does not establish compatibility. Use a player matched to the actual operating system, or check a compatible external device separately.

Choose the supplied provider format

The official documentation covers M3U, Xtream and MAC/Stalker-style provider configurations. The presence of an option does not mean XIPTV supplies that account type. Ask support which format to use and avoid entering M3U data into a portal field.

A MAC-based configuration must use an authorised identifier and matching service arrangement. Do not copy another device's identifier or invent a portal address. A server URL for one account method may not be interchangeable with another.

Add your provider

  1. Install OTT Navigator through the official route for your Android device.
  2. Open provider or source settings and add a new entry.
  3. Select the account method confirmed by XIPTV.
  4. Enter the required values without modifying the scheme, server port or playlist parameters.
  5. Allow the initial library update, then test one stream and audio.
  6. Configure the supplied programme guide if it is not already associated with the account.

Keep the configuration simple until basic playback is working. Adding several overlapping sources immediately can make it difficult to tell which account or guide entry is failing.

Organise and troubleshoot

Once playback is verified, set favourites and explore the TV navigation controls available in your edition. If you hide groups, remember that hidden content is different from content missing from the service. Check the source and filter settings before reporting a removed channel.

For an empty EPG, verify the guide source and matching channel identifiers. For playback problems, compare two streams and determine whether the problem is source-specific or affects everything. Test one network or decoder change at a time and record the result.

Know which support channel to use

XIPTV handles subscription activation, account details and service availability. OTT Navigator's developer handles application licensing and app-specific faults. Share your device model, version and symptom without posting private account fields. Read the device guide if installation itself is the problem rather than login or playback.
